I have so many positive things to say about the instructors and the courses offered by Urban Balance. First, I think it’s great that my employer has a partnership with Urban Balance; it can be hard to find time to get to a yoga class either before or after work and having an option during my work day that I know is supported by my employer makes it so much easier to attend. The break in my work day to attend class helps me to refocus my energy and often I’ll feel refreshed as I go into the afternoon.
The instructors are knowledgeable, supportive and friendly and each brings a different approach to the class they lead. This provides an opportunity to be exposed to different methods and styles of yoga, helps me find out what I like best and challenges me to improve and grow in my practice. As a bonus, the classes tend to be relatively small, so the chances of one on one instruction or guidance is high.
In addition to the “usual” weekly class, there are additional class offerings provided about once a quarter that delve deeper into certain aspects of yoga practice, such as meditation. While there is an additional cost for these courses I’ve found them to be very reasonably priced and well worth the cost. I’ve always been interested in yoga as a means of exercise and am appreciative of how Urban Balance has supported this aspect of my life.
