Kate loves massage. A native of New Mexico, Kate grew up surrounded by herbs and traditional medicine, but wasn’t introduced to massage until she moved to Portland in her early 20s. After receiving bodywork from an acupuncturist, which stopped her wrist pain, Kate was hooked.
A graduate of the East West College of the Healing Arts in Portland Oregon, Kate has training in deep tissue, Swedish, Tui Na (Chinese medical massage), craniosacral, and abdominal massage (both Mayan and Chinese styles). Kate combines these styles into unique, therapeutic sessions to fit each client’s individual needs and abilities. An advocate for massage and self-care, Kate has spent countless hours giving chair massage over the last five years – working at events, corporate offices and the airport. As a result, Kate is extremely adept at giving effective massage within limited time frames and is skilled at working the whole body during chair massage (not just the back and shoulders).
When not sharing her skill through chair massage you can find Kate in her private practice where she focuses on providing abdominal massage to support women’s reproductive and digestive health.
