On-going Alexander Workshops
These can be formed into a series of any length to create an experience that builds on itself or designed as standalone sessions. Each session will focus on a different part of the body, different common issue (neck pain, carpel tunnel, challenges lifting, etc), or different activity (typing, lifting, walking, tool use, etc.). They will be focused and scaled base on the needs of the institution and the participants. All workshops will be highly participatory, engaging, dynamic, and experiential.
Sitting Easy, Moving Easy, Being Easy: Alexander Technique for Employees
Self-care is great, when we can find time to do it. What if you could care for yourself (your aching back, your cranky wrists, your afternoon fatigue) while you’re at work? Contemporary Alexander Technique teaches you simple ways to find ease and efficiency, address your pain, discover more presence and focus, and change your experience inside of your activities.
Instead of self-care being one more item to your to do list, this workshop will give you tools to use at your desk, on a run, during your commute or while you do the things you love. It will give you access to a deeper, more comfortable, more enjoyable experience. Alexander is about caring for yourself while you live your life.
This eight-week series will include a mix of group work, body-mapping, and individual hands on. It is crafted to give each participant an experience of the work of FM Alexander as well as practical every day tools to use in their lives.
Accessing Ease: Alexander Technique for Healthcare Workers
Does caring for others have to take such a toll? What if you could care for yourself and protect your health and well-being while you’re at work? Contemporary Alexander Technique teaches you simple ways to find ease and efficiency, address your pain, discover more presence and focus, and change your experience inside of your activities.
This class will not add another thing to your to do list. It will not give you exercises to do on your break. It will give you practical tools to use while you’re working to help you find strength and comfort, access natural movement, and attend to yourself.
